[A short story related to and using the characters from Star Wars the Clone Wars: Cuy'Val Dar]

"Whatever you do, Null. Do not let Bogie know about this mission."

----------------------------------

Nearly a year has elapsed since Super Commando Null joined forced with Mirage Squad and began fighting in the clone wars alongside the millions of other clone soldiers. With the former Sergeant of Mirage Squad medically decommissioned, Null has stepped up into the position of Sergeant and is now stationed outside of Corsin.

However, not long after two newest recruits for the team arrive to take the place of fallen members, Null and his team quickly go from sitting around waiting, to being deployed on a high stakes mission. Not only must they quickly destroy a rapidly moving Separatist force threatening the planet, but they've also been tasked with a rescue mission. This rescue mission isn't a simple run of the mill operation, though. For Mirage Squad, it's personal.

Uncertainty is our lot in life, for the future is never what you expect. Uncertainty in years. Uncertainty in days. Uncertainty in what you'll recollect. ~ CT-8870 -- Among the masses of identical faces that reside on the rain-drenched planet of Kamino, CT-8870 is an oddity. He's been created to serve amongst the ranks of the Grand Army of the Republic--even earned himself a specialty in sharpshooting--but unlike his clone 'brothers', CT-8870 has grown to value anonymity. Anonymity, after all, is what keeps safe from the scourges of his Kaminoan overlords. He's even evaded a name in favor of keeping to the background. His marginal hopes for his short life are quickly rearranged when he's inducted into the squad he'll be serving alongside. Amongst his new brothers, the army's signature fire and tenacity mix seamlessly with cavalier misadventures and even a type pf gentleness CT-8870 hasn't encountered since his childhood. Suddenly, the galaxy seems wider than ever before. Opportunities to learn and grow into something more than a soldier beam around every corner, but so does the ever-present threat of death. Or worse, the threat of loss. Could allowing himself to indulge in these two bonds, to fall into the camaraderie that is brotherhood, possibly be worth the risk of having it all stripped away? With tomorrow ever uncertain, CT-8870 is forced to step into the fog and shadows of the galaxy as well as the war. There is no such thing as stagnation in life, after all. There is no going backward--only forward. -- Inspired by Star Wars: The Clone Wars, but is largely original in nature. Crossposted to Ao3. Updates once weekly until I run out of content, then closer to once monthly.

Irel Kirsi is a newly appointed Jedi Knight when the Clone Wars arrives, bringing chaos into the galaxy she was sworn to protect. At the bidding of the Jedi Council, Irel is assigned to become General of Clone Legion 918. It is there she meets Commander Axe, one of the newer clone troopers, but no less experienced. As the war goes on, Irel finds herself learning how to command an army and take orders herself. Her questions for the Jedi Council deepen even more, especially as she begins to grow closer to her commander. Commander Axe has been in the Clone Wars since the very first battle of Geonosis. When he finds out that his legion is being reassigned to another less experienced Jedi, Axe is worried what may happen to him and his men. He takes it upon himself to help their new general as much as he can. As they continue to work together, Axe finds himself falling for Irel. As the threat of war spills across the galaxy, what will they do to ensure victory and what will their freedom cost?
