Sky is a hopelessly romantic southern belle, born and raised in South Carolina, but moved to New York for her writing career of romance novels. Her stories are completely fiction, and formed from her ideal fantasies. All she really wants is a life like her characters. Instead, she has a life of unwanted hotness, which causes her to be unaware of her self-worth, a competition for a promotion at her job, writer's block... and Matt. Matt is a realist. A total hottie living on the edge, and not giving two shits about life or anything--- except for Sky. Polar opposites, magnetized by their attraction for one another, they began a friends-with-benefits relationship. Sky looking to fill the hole in her love life, and Matt looking to get some. However, they begin to grow more attached emotionally rather than physically, which is something neither of them bargained for. Undergoing a relationship of challenge, competition, emotional abuse and heartache, the twisted pair realize that they may fit more perfectly than they ever wanted. They begin to want--- need ---one another, causing fault after fault in their strictly friends-with-benefits status.
