She's in love with her boyfriend who she began dating for appearances, but is becoming suspicious of him and her nerdy roommate

When Brody's great aunt died he took his inheritance, changed his name to River and now attends 'The Gatsby', he skates, enjoys cinematography and smokes. He spends his days talking shit with Brandi and observing his classmates, as a result River knows almost everyone's secrets

The strange girl-the observer, Carlotta speaks to no one
but takes pictures of them and tacks the pictures in spirals in her dormitory room. Her one true friend is the schools gardener who helps her tend to the flowers. Also,

Grayson Blackwood. The cocky posh boy who spends his holidays at a manor is Scotland, he hunts and plays polo, Grayson doesn't quite fit in, but he's recently been told a secret he thinks could be worth something

Adriana. Their love was forbidden, should anyone find out, her life would be in ruins, but she knew that without him, she could never be, for without him, she was nothing. Her heart broke watching their fake passion glowing, for without him, she was nothing

Marcus, the star football player with the head cheerleader for appearances, but couldn't help but fall for the nerdy girl

Emilia.The wallflower fits in everywhere and nowhere at the same time, so she secludes herself. She's recently witnessed a scandal in the stairway and accidentally let it slip to the cocky posh boy

Brandi is too cool for school, always acting arrogant and bored, she puts up her guard. It seems like everyone hates her, except for her best friend, River. They talk trash about the cheerleaders and jocks in the library at lunch.
