Emma Rose Harrington and her dad recently moved to a new country in hopes of escaping their past life. With little money, Emma goes out in hopes of finding a job to help pay the bills. What she didn't know is that along the way, she would be offered something she couldn't possibly pass up. A chance to work in the palace, home to the Walkers, the royal family holding the country together. Oh, and of course the home of the mysterious Prince James who captured the hearts of thousands of teenage girls across the country.
An unexpected bond is formed between Emma, James, and many other members of the palace. But as secrets are kept, rules are broke, and jealousy spreads, you realize you never know who you can trust or who is really out to get you. Along the way, you may realize that sacrifices have to be made in order to protect the ones you truly love.
She went in for the pay (and the thought of living in an actual fairy tale,) and could come out with way more than she could have ever bargained for. Filled with adventure, friendship, romance, and secrets, sometimes the chance of a lifetime comes in the most peculiar spots, and can change your life forever.
