La historia se sitúa en san francisco en el año 2009 donde conocemos a una joven
pareja Sarah y Joseph, que viven en un departamento en una zona residencial del
lado este, Sarah es parte del cuerpo de policía y está en pleno proceso a ascender de
rango a detective. Joseph es un experto en farmacología, trabaja en un laboratorio
particular, cabe mencionar que Joseph tiene un padecimiento cardiaco congénito,
aunque lleva varios años estable, hasta que son alcanzados por la tragedia.
