The way the sunlight from the tall windows caught his profile as he leaned forward, embarrassingly absorbed in taking notes made me want to kill myself. His dark curls kept falling across his eyes, and he'd absently brush them back with the end of his bitten pen. I found myself watching his hands more than paying attention to the rest of him, admiring how his fingers moved across the page with such purpose. When he finally looked up and caught me staring, I theatrically winked to piss him off, feeling my cheeks warm as he rolled his eyes with a supressed smile. I couldn't help stealing another glance moments later, and this time, the wonder himself offered me a small, knowing smirk that made my heart skip.
