In Winchester, a dreary small town in North Carolina, Emily Carter dreams of leaving her home for the adventure of the big city. Even though she in close to graduating high school, she begins to question her dreams when she meets Ana Wilson, who, ironically, moved from a city and is now her next door neighbor. Emily becomes transfixed by her and her tales from her life in a city, but she later begins to realize that her emotions towards her new friend went deeper than she initially thought. Will Emily follow her dreams and move to the city, or will she stay home for the girl?
