A  love forbidden, curse from a jealous Queen, an unshakable bond with a dead mother, and the realization that her world will never be normal. The Essence Weaver's daughter follows Ren as she discovers  that sometimes invisible battle are more difficult than the visible.  Ren struggles through life, wandering from training camp to training camp fleeing from her mother's curse and the Queen's unrelenting obsession with either turning or burning Essence Weavers, until  her temper traps her  in the ring with Garrik, the Queen's personal guard. On their journey back to the court of Fire, Garrik and Ren learn valuable lessons in trust, truly dangerous territory for Ren.  Once in the court of fire, Garrik must pawn Ren as the best assassin in the kingdom to give her the freedom she always wanted.  But first, she needs to become what he says she is. Though freedom  is appealing, is it really the life she bargained for?
