Catherine Manigol met Daniel Akiyama when they were both in 7th grade. Their parents were close friends but they had never met before. In middle school they were close family friends, having dinner together every month with their families. In high school, they started off as a friendly face, a familiarity in a sea of the unknown... Until they fell in love. (This is my true love story! The dialogue may not be verbatim, but I'm going to be very open about everything that happens to us other than that. Updates will come and go as I can't plan anything, but the story shouldn't end.)

For the booksmart yet naïve 16-year-old Nicky, high school in her quaint little hometown island in the Philippines had always been predictable. Until that senior year. Nicky thought she got things all figured out. She'd be very good at school and be the valedictorian of the single-section class of 2010 of the highly looked-up science high school in their island. And then, she'd get a full scholarship to her dream university. All was fairly well except for a few things like grappling her feelings towards a long-time crush. Just when Nicky thought she could get through high school without too much boy-drama, a somewhat seemingly love life with a boy or two and suddenly, maybe even three was finally catching up with her during the last few months before high school graduation. She had never thought she could be wrong about a person. And that she could always be wrong about boys... ✨✨✨ Sidenote: I wrote this from November 2010 to April 2011, only a year ahead from the time set in the novel. This was fully uploaded on Wattpad in September 2013 for safekeeping. I hadn't gotten back to it in so many years nor find any means and time to promote it. This had long been completed but still needs edit. Enjoy reading! Cheers! P.S. This is not exactly a love story. And yet, it may read a lot like it.
