The Apotheosis, beings even further than gods, have taken mortal life into their own hands. Shard Nymia, a young girl of the Tempest race has a deep hatred for the Apotheosis and wants nothing more than to be able to eliminate them from all realms. Due to their immortality, this has been proven to be impossible. However there have been lost tales of mortals who have not only slain but completely absorbed several Apotheosis. Upon reading such fairy tales, Shard wishes to make them into a reality and release mortal life's grip from Apotheosis claws. However, mortals are not so keen on the idea of rebelling against immortal gods, let alone by a cursed Tempest child.
