Night Whisperer

"Papa. All the stars are gone. Where did they go?"
"I don't know sweetheart."
"Will they ever come back"
He smiled and laughed. Kissing his daughter on the forehead and wrapping her close to him in bed he whispered "I'm sure they will come back when their ready."

It was early in the morning and the sun had just barely come over the hill in which the small cabin lay. The cabin had 2 bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a basement. It overlooked a large crater with a huge lake in the middle. The lake shimmered silver, blue, and white. You used to be able to see the beautiful night sky in it too, but the stars vanished from the sky. Papa promised they were going to come back. I sure hope they do. I like seeing the Ursa roam the sky. Hercules the hero. Leo the mighty lion. All the beautiful patterns. I dream about them. All of them. And sometimes when I'm outside late at night I feel like I can hear the stars. They whisper, calling for help. But I do not know how to help them. But I have to find out what I am. Papa says I'm special and that's why he named me Luna. I was born on a blue moon. But one day I begin a dangerous journey and that is where my story begins...
