Carrie knows that she is different. Being the only black kid in a school full of whites, she and her best friend Mark, an asian. Together, they have been best friends for as long as the both can remember.
Then one day, the school is attacked and powers are unlocked. Mysteries rise and questions are both found and answered. Now Carrie must rise-rise from the prejudice, the expectations, and the power that threatens the world as they know it.
