Sam's in his second semester at Stanford, things are going well. He's adapted, made some friends and is near the top of his class. Life is perfect, no monsters, no motels and everything makes sense. He's finished the first of his midterms and is resting under a tree when he overhears something about people getting their heart ripped out, and not by an ex either. Can he stop the monster and still maintain his life at school? Is it really his responsibility now? He has only one shot at Stanford, will he risk it all to step back into the family business.

Dean now only has a year to live, Hermione does everything she can to make sure he doesn't go to hell. But since the devil's gate has been opened there is more work to do for Sam, Dean and Hermione.

Dean loses his memory in a freak accident, and Sam tries to help him get it back.
