Rachel Blossom and Jughead Jones were childhood friends until Jughead had to move to Toledo with his mom and sister one day in middle school. Before Jughead moved, the two always hung out with Archie Andrews and Betty Cooper. They all hung out everyday, but of course Jughead was removed from the group when he moved. Archie, Betty, and Rachel remained friends, even though the Blossom family didn't accept it.

High school came along, and the Blossoms decided to throw Rachel out of the house because she was putting "a bad reputation on the family." She accepted it and moved in with the Cooper family, and bleached her hair so that she would look less like a red headed Blossom. She eventually dyed it an unnatural red because it was her favorite color.

Midway through senior year, Jughead moved back to Riverdale from Toledo and became part of the "Sad Breakfast Club" (as Cheryl would call it) again, and became friends with Rachel, Betty, and Archie again, and also became friends with Veronica Lodge and Kevin Keller.

A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world. The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
