Tyler is just another well off teenager living in the 1950s. He has good grades, is the star basketball player, and has enough money to buy himself a brand new Cadillac every year. But something's troubling him. He's supposed to be dating one of the most attractive girls at Levittown High, but just can't seem to get his good friend off his mind. It's taboo to like someone of the same sex, but it's not directly against any laws...
He should know, his good friend Hayley is dating some rock n' roll girl named Ashley. It's different, and more acceptable when two girls date each other. It's an entirely different story when a lead example of a role model turns out to like guys as much as girls. So now he's caught between a rock and a hard place: staying that golden role model, or giving up his status and pursue true love.
There's another obstacle: Josh's diner crush Brendon. Who the hell competes against that attractive fellow? No one, that's who. So he must hope and pray for change, a change that may never come.
