Meet 14-year-old Ignatius Lim, in his fight for his dream since he was 8 for his loving brother, Jeremy Lim. It was the year 2012. The Lim brothers were playing their favourite sport, basketball, at the spacious basketball court near their house. However, Ignatius, who was distracted by the golden-brownish-furred cat nearby, missed the ball his 11-year-old brother threw to him. The ball bounced back to Jeremy, who was facing away from the road. "I'll get it! I'll be back in a jiffy!" Jeremy chirped as he ran after the ball. The ball was heading towards Cityvale Street. "I should hurry up, my brother is waiting for me. It has been such a long time since weve had a training session, I better not waste a single second." Jeremy dashed out. All he could see was the ball, the one thing that constituted of his and Ignatius' dream. Ignatius sighted a white BMW driving at a high speed towards where his brother was running towards, who was ignorant of the oncoming danger. "Wait, no, Jeremy, STOP!" Jeremy held onto the ball, grinning while turning back his head to look at his brother. But the horn, its urgency and desperation, drew his attention. Ignatius ran, but all he saw next was horrifying. He heard the thump of a body, the screech of the car, and the bounce of the ball as it travelled down the street, oblivious of the trouble it had caused. All was too late.

"Michael!" was the last thing I heard before gunshots echoed down the street. I heard mama scream before the clicking of her heels hitting the asphalt. I stood frozen as I took in the events that just took place. I was zoned out as everyone ran around in panic. I snapped out of my trance when flashing lights pulled up to the scene. There she was on the ground holding his lifeless body in the street. My face appeared calm and expressionless but my mind was racing with thoughts. That bullet should've been in me... it was meant for me... Jun was an older brother of 3 now its just him and his sister Jalani. They was raised by a single mother who often struggled just to put a slice of bread in the cabinets. Working 3 jobs as Jun took care of other things. Always managing to make ends meet. Since their father walked out on them, Jun saw it as he had to be the man of the house and grow up at 13. His life since his brother died hasn't been the same.
