Meet 14-year-old Ignatius Lim, in his fight for his dream since he was 8 for his loving brother, Jeremy Lim.

It was the year 2012. The Lim brothers were playing their favourite sport, basketball, at the spacious basketball court near their house. However, Ignatius, who was distracted by the golden-brownish-furred cat nearby, missed the ball his 11-year-old brother threw to him.

The ball bounced back to Jeremy, who was facing away from the road.

"I'll get it! I'll be back in a jiffy!" Jeremy chirped as he ran after the ball.

The ball was heading towards Cityvale Street.

"I should hurry up, my brother is waiting for me. It has been such a long time since weve had a training session, I better not waste a single second."

Jeremy dashed out. All he could see was the ball, the one thing that constituted of his and Ignatius' dream.

Ignatius sighted a white BMW driving at a high speed towards where his brother was running towards, who was ignorant of the oncoming danger.

"Wait, no, Jeremy, STOP!"

Jeremy held onto the ball, grinning while turning back his head to look at his brother. But the horn, its urgency and desperation, drew his attention.

Ignatius ran, but all he saw next was horrifying.

He heard the thump of a body, the screech of the car, and the bounce of the ball as it travelled down the street, oblivious of the trouble it had caused.

All was too late.

WATTPAD BOOKS EDITION There are imperfect moments in every life-but sometimes, there are perfect accidents . . . What's the point of pretending nothing has changed when everything has? It's the last summer before college, and Jonas Avery knows he should be excited. Instead, he hides out at home, avoiding his friends, his family, and everything that resembles his old life. Because nothing will be normal again-because of The Accident, when everything started falling apart. Brennan Davis knows she needs to stand up and face her anxiety-the deep, dark, debilitating dread that rules her everyday life. Because what stops her from going out into the world and just living is going to get a whole lot worse. She's leaving for college in the fall, where she'll be confronted with even more to worry about. To get back up sometimes you have to fall down, hard . . . When Jonas crashes into Brennan-in a harmless, albeit embarrassing fender bender-the two teens connect in ways they never expected. As friends, they help each other overcome their biggest falls and faults, and soon discover that while love can't fix everything, it's sometimes a place to start. Sensitive, wry, and unabashedly authentic, The Opposite of Falling Apart isn't about finding perfection in another person or fixing the things we think are broken. Instead, Micah Good has penned an enchantingly honest novel about accepting the very pieces of ourselves that make us unique, whole, and undeniably human.
