Sajak-sajak di kampung yang ditulis di fasa awal penulisan. Ketika ini saya baru pulang(atau lari sebenarnya) dari pengajian di sebuah universiti, Putrajaya. Sajak-sajak inilah antara yang mendadak tiba di hadapan saya ketika mengecap kembali angin kampung.

Kaki muda yang comot dengan kesan pasir dan tahi ayam, betis yang tercalar-luka-dan-berdarah oleh duri salak, ayam-ayam berkokokan dari dapur dalam perut subuhari, cangkerang siput di parit, babi berlarian sepuluh ekor tersusun dari semak samun dan--  seperti hal-hal yang rawak ini, penyair akan terus hidup dengan kenang-kenangan.

حان وقت إكمال ما توقفنا عنده، رحلة لا تزال في بدايتها.. ستضحك..ستبكي..ستؤلمك قصة أحدهم، ستتعاطف مع آخر. لكن في النهاية ستحزن على فراقهم جميعاً. في بعض الأحيان تكون إرهاقات الفراق أسوأ من الفراق نفسه، عندما تشعر بثقل الحديث حتى يقل مع الشخص الذي كان السلام بينكما يجعلك سعيدًا مبتسمًا. شعورك عندما تكون حزينًا ولا تسطيع أن تتحدث معه خوفًا من أن تكون حملًا ثقيلًا عليه.. عندما تريد أن تعبر له عن اشتياقك؛ لكنك تتراجع خشية ردوده الباردة، كيف هو شعورك وأنت الطرف الأكثر بذلاً للجهد.. لم أكن أطلب الكثير.. كل ما كنت أريده فقط هو أن يكون لي نفس الحب الذي أقدمه! كنتِ ولا زلتِ نجمة مضيئة في دربي، يزداد وجهك ويزداد حبي..مهما طال فراقنا فأنا لا أتخلى عن شيء أعتبرته مِلكاً لي.. وأنتِ أعز ممتلكاتي.
