Keira, a photographer for the New York Times, is stuck for ideas for an article that might just cost her entire career. She reads about old Asylums that were in operation for hundreds of years and sees this might be the perfect opportunity to save her career.
Keira and her partner Austin travel to a shut down mental institution to write an article about the conditions and daily life there.
After arriving at the institution however, Keira is suddenly struck with flashbacks of a past life that once lived at the institution. A young teenager named Elizabeth who had come for the same reason she had. To write about the conditions, but later not allowed to leave after being accused insane by one of the nurses. Can Keira help Elizabeth escape from this institution and save her career? Or will she be stuck in the one place that's more dangerous than the Asylum. The human mind
