It's been three years since the tragic death of SSA Agent Hotchner's wife, Haley, and it seems as if time really does heal. Doing normal everyday things didn't bring back painful memories and it seemed like he was finally getting along with life. That is until one day he arrives home to a ransom note smeared in blood instead of his six year old son, Jack. Desperate to save the only part of him he has left, Hotch seeks out for a new pair of eyes to help his team, which so happens to be Melanie Davis, top of the BAU Academy. But when her help to find his son turns into a threat of not only Aaron's but her life as well, will she leave the team hanging in the investigation to save both Aaron and possibly his son's life, or will she stay and risk her own for reuniting a boy and his father ... and for love?
