Centuries ago this was a great planet, now it's a husky shadow of its former beauty. Though the remnants of its former magic still linger it was destroyed by power hungry scientists. More tests to make more technology to go further, faster more this more that. Boom It all went up in flames, radiation spilled out into South America from the global power station in Brazil. The nuclear plant 15 times that of Chernobyl blew its top. The initial explosion flattened Brazil and the shockwaves were felt from the Florida keys. But the thing that truly ruined the world was the nuclear fallout. it rained down everywhere turning the world into a desolate wasteland deserts for miles and miles. Now you live in districts to survive, but what's the good in just being a number. Why would you look forward to a future of infant nothing, can you run from that? Where would you go? Where have the people who have escaped gone? Is that a future? What if there's someone who got left behind? The Ups and Downs of the Gardicia Empire
Lusica is a world existing in a separate dimension from Earth, where magic and science coexist. On one continent, only science prevails, while on another, numerous countries exist where magic is dominant, each competing for supremacy. With the arrival of a country called Japan from yet another dimension, a significant shift has begun to unfold in the history of Lusica. This is the story of the fate of various nations as they respond to this transformative change. The Ups and Downs of the Gardicia Empire is a chronicle of an empire in another world. For hundreds of years, the continent of Varadia was embroiled in constant warfare among three nations: the Kingdom of Dalvort in the north, the Kingdom of Eugust in the center, and the Gardicia Empire in the south. Eventually, the southern Gardicia Empire, a land of mining and industry, achieved its goal of uniting the continent. Riding on this momentum, the Gardicia Empire set out to conquer the neighboring continent of Mortria, with the ultimate ambition of ruling the entire world! Emperor Gardicia III's aspirations seemed boundless. But standing in the Empire's way was a nation transported from another world by a powerful mage: Japan. Nihonkoku Shoukan: Beyond
After 2 major wars against two galactic superpowers, and the Garmillas refugee crisis of 2205, Japan, a part of the Earth Federation, now is seeing true peace. The rebuilding process is happening smoothly, with cooperation between citizens from all walks of life, between the Garmillian refugees and Terrans, and even the famous Shinkansen Maglev system is also rebuilt. However, one day, the people on the land of Japan woke up to a foreign sight. No known constellation, familiar stars, the moon, and neighboring landmass could be detected. Facing them is a planet of unknown, magic, and of possibility. Facing the crisis of transference, the people united once more, and again, the name Japan is re-recognized as a country. Her diplomatic corps is sent out on the rebuilt Japan Cosmo Navy ships, heading toward unknown lands, and contacting the nations of the new world. The politic of the new world however is a quagmire full of arrogance, hostility, and imperialism. "If diplomacy fails, then defend ourselves, we must" - proclaimed the newly appointed provisional PM of Japan, Heikuro Todo. The story of Nihonkoku Shoukan Beyond will follow Japan in the world of Space Battleship Yamato (2199/2202/2205) after their transference to the new world. This story is inspired by the original NHS and fanfics like Summoning America by DrDoritosMD. It will feature similar plots to the OG NHS by Minorou and the fanfics by other creators I have the pleasure to read. With this as my first English fanfic novel, please don't be too harsh.
