Note: This story was made a month or so before the Octo Expansion was released so you may notice some changes that differ from the final game-wait what am I talking about? This is a fanfic,not The Cutting Room Floor. Anyway,this is non-canon(obviously) so yeah. This is the story of an Inkling named Four and an Octoling named Eight(kinda generic,I know but I couldn't think of any other names).
Despite Agents 3,4 and 8 being canonically female,I'll make Four and Eight an Inkling Boy and an Octoling Boy. You are free to share my stories,but please:DO NOT CLAIM IT AS YOUR OWN.NO ONE LIKES A THIEF!

It's been nine months since escaping the Deepsea Metro, defeating tar-tar, and saving Inkoplois things seemed to have finally calmed down for the team. Agent 8 now free is now living his new life on the surface, working, going on missions, and his favorite thing getting to spend time with 3. 3 is enjoying spending time with 8, but after going on a research mission in the Deepsea Metro she notices 8 acting strange. She found him mumbling to himself, he's having nightmares, being more claggy to 3 than normal, and swears that she caught a flash of teal in his eye. It couldn't be that bad... till 8 goes missing. The team is on the case to find him but sometime into the search Inklings sharing some of 3's similarities are getting attacked and 3's apartment gets ransacked. It's clear 8 is after 3 and if he finds her, he's not letting her go.

Heyo! This is my first Splatoon fanfic here, so I hope it's not too cringy. A bit of swearing (maybe), but overall, pretty friendly (I hope). I'd say 10+ for ages. And none of the photos or characters that are in the book belong to me, unless I say so. Anyway, on to the description. (Cover is credited to @ThatSaltyMango) Startled and afraid, (Female) Agent 8 fights for her freedom against (Male) Agent 3 after abandoning her squadron that was supposed to lead the getaway to Octo Canyon. Out of nowhere, they're both suddenly knocked unconscious and wake up in a dark lab, about to be sanitized. Will they escape? Find out.
