Sixteen-years old Nikki life was on track until it wasn't and she has to go live with her Uncle and Aunt in a completely different town of Oakland.
At first glance things where not too bad, her Aunt and Uncle seemed like good people and their family looked like one she would love to be in but all is not as it seem. The longer Nikki stays there, they more she notices the crack in the perfect family façade and she will need the help of new friends outside of the family to stop the silent tears from falling.
This is a teen fiction book on the life of a young girl thrust into a new family and how she has to navigate living there and knowing that every family no matter how perfect it looks have their own issues.
