Everyone knows the feeling of having to accept responsibility for someone in their family, whether it's Gram, Pop, Mom, or Dad. The time all comes when people age and need financial, physical, or medical help.
However, for black young professionals, it can be worse. Besides providing for parents and grandparents, some are asked to help get younger relatives through school and aide in child care. This is called the "Black Tax" because it is mostly experienced by minorities, blacks especially.
