Emmerson Wickbee was a freshman at a local four year university on a path to nursing. She looked for love in all the wrong places, in fact she had never really had a boyfriend. That was until Ajax Vanderbeck came into Emmerson's life. At first, everything about Ajax was what Emmerson was seeking. He had mesmerizing baby blue eyes, sandy brown hair, and a heart that you couldn't find elsewhere. Quickly, Emmerson fell in love. Harder than she should have. Ajax was showing all the signs that he was as well. However, Ajax was a part of a different world. In a sense that he was psychedelically in a different dimension. He was never sober. Emmerson fell in love with someone who was addicted to being high on anything he could get his hands on. So the question was, "How can you love someone who isn't a part of this world?"
