However, when the princess returns from studying abroad and has three balls held in her honor, the house takes on a different feel. The step-family is more demanding, hoping the ensnare Her Highness in a matrimony plot and Nicholas starts to see horrific shadows during the night speaking of taking the throne.

With the help of gambling flowers, a broom as lost as a puppy, and the tailor Master Climens, Nicholas will do everything in his magical power to save the princess from his step-family and the country from shadows.
