When two alternate worlds - the one we know, and one of myth and magic - collide, what is a teenage girl supposed to do?
Lilian March had her life planned out. Take one AP class freshman year. Two for sophomore year. Four over junior year and five during senior year. Go to Cornell, just like Dad. Settle down, buy a house, have a couple kids. But one mistake halfway through her sophomore year has Lili thinking her perfect plan is in the toilet.
That huge mistake is the least of her problems now though. After Lili's parents and sister are kidnapped by ancient greek deities, she has to come to grips with herself and what fate really has in store for her. Damn them, the stupid old women. Partnered with an insufferable ex-god (who is terribly narcissistic and rude) Lili's new plan is to travel across America searching for any god that knows where her family is. But there's one minor hitch: all the old gods have given up magic and are just mortals now.
Scratch that. Two minor hitches. All the old gods are regular humans now and Lili has a power that's supposed to end the world, ours and theirs. But she doesn't know how to use it.
Being sixteen just got a whole lot suckier.
