Kali Santiago. Your ordinary sixteen year old living in London with an average life. Nothing could seem more normal than living with her single mother and younger brother in a three bedroom flat. But when a letter is received, involving something she's been avoiding for the past seven years of her life, she is left with the choice to leave her life behind back in England for the summer.

Meet Kali's new step-family, her over hyperactive step-mother comes along with step siblings, including an anti-christ of a step sister - who has a boyfriend. And once Kali crosses paths with him, all hell breaks loose.

Unnerved by the stark differences between the two, Drew Tyler is not the type of boy that would cross Kali's life. Unbelievably Egoistic, cold, mysterious, and the most devious lethal person in Santa Barbara, he soon catapults her into the midst of his dangerous world.

What once Kali thought would just be a simple holiday in California, becomes a wrenched journey causing her world to soon contort into many different obstacles, wrapped up in a ride of unexpected events. This was going to be one hell of a twisted summer.
