"the ginger was the cynosure of all eyes"

jay was a loved and respected high schooler, a bad boy who wanted probably nothing to do with a nerdy dork like ave. the ginger was tall, beautifully sculpted of the finest ivory, the eyes of pure spring warmth and his freckles a splash of picasso's paintbrush. his muscle (from what ave had seen with jealousy and adoration in the locker room) was of the prettiest and most perfect of jewels. he was everything.

but not perfect.

ave had seen that his loverboy, a cynosure to all eyes, had never always been at peace. so happy and just a picture of everything good in the world.

he was crumbling to pieces, and he didn't realize until he waltzed his way right into the boy's shattered heart.
