Young Ray Hawthorne learned that the hard way
He was special, different than other people. He, along with many others, had a malfunction in there genetic code gaining them the title of 'Glitch'
Glitches ranged from having an extra finger to complete biological manipulation. A secret government organization, Counsel of Biological Enhancement known commonly as Upgrade seeked to capture, control and of course upgrade the abilities of these glitches to turn them into super soldiers.
After years of this injustice there was a rebellion of these glitches and Ray Hawthorne and almost all other captured glitches escaped and dissolved into society, and the problem is that those glitches were upgraded and extremely Powerful.
This story is about the fight against upgrade and the teaming up some of these glitches to become the RagTag Militia.

It's been five years since the plague struck. Leah knows there are other survivors, but she's avoiding them. She is doing just fine on her own. "It wasn't me who shot her," he sits on a stool, resting his elbows on his knees. "Then how do you know she was shot?" "I saw it. I saw him kill her," his voice was riddled with such pure vulnerability and pain it begged me to believe him. "Who?" I try to sound sympathetic, but it comes out as scared. My lungs and muscles burned. Everything in my body begging me to stop but I had to keep moving. I had to get away. I rather die than go back to that lab but this building was a maze!
