The idea of lycanthropes is impossible. Can the lore actually be true? College student Joey Sumner never could have imagined she would find the answer in a simple hike through the forest. But as she soon discovers, the world is not always what it seems. When she comes face to face with a rogue werewolf and survives its brutal bite, Joey is thrown into a savage existence where power struggles are fought to the death and males reign supreme. As she struggles to come to terms with her new reality, she becomes a pawn in a conflict between the rogue who bit her and the alpha of the local pack, who wants to execute him for a murder he may or may not have committed. You are taken for quite the ride as the main character. I have left the main character with little detail so you as the reader can create your own character and name him/her. Rudina, just a normal girl with purple eyes, or so she thought. She has always been aggressive, but has always found a way to contain so she'll come across sweet instead. When she gets into a situation with one of the other girls at school, something inside of her clicks. Luckily her best guy friend, Alaric, is there to diffuse the situation. He takes her to a place she's never been before and it's presented with things she didn't want to hear, she didn't want to find out what she really is, she didn't want to become a werewolf. She makes friends and she makes enemies, but that's what she gets for being the 'fabled' one. Things are not easy for her, anything but. After finding a new family, she has to leave them to find out what she can do, the question is, what exactly is that? Having been on the run from her stepfather for over a year, Heidi and her mum settle in cosy, yet unusual Penshaw Lake. Unaware of the danger hiding within. Werewolves and vampires have been against each other for years, so both Laura and Nicole were surprised when they found out that their best friend turned out to be their greatest enemy. However, they soon realize that they have to put their differences aside if they want to rid their world of the dreaded Blood Moon . . .
