In a fantasy land, the world knew a time of its usual battles, politics and other issues. That time became known as the era of balance due to the upcoming troubles which forever changed the world. One of the realms and its kingdom descended into darkness and chaos which spread to the other lands which brought the world much more war, turmoil, everything everywhere changed. This led to a time where many groups, armies, heroes and such that stood against it all or at least attempted to.. Even factions and groups rose up to thrive and cherish on the chaos, contributing to it further thrive off others, a time where people had much to gain if they went about things correctly. Each group has their own story, their own struggles, their own profits, but the one we shall focus on is the unlikely trio who went through it all, a trio of nobodies who had to work together and adapt. They could run and hope others deal with it or try to stand against it and do what they can to fight back. By the end of the worse of it, they went through a lot, met friends, allies, eternal enemies, but not everyone survives... their story began when a village was raided and burned down in the middle of the night by orcs. The three young friends barely escaped and went to the kingdom for refuge, as they're settling in they're dragged into a very dangerous plot that leads to the trouble that changes the world which is what forces them to either stand idly by, get involved or to escape the chaos around them by getting far away. I bet you can guess what they decide, but I bet you can't guess their story.

This book features multiple races, fighting, blood, magic, and much more.
This book is also still a work in progress and I'm publishing each chapter as I finish writing it. Any feedback is welcomed and encouraged.

Through thick and thin the Law shall prevail. A new sense of purpose awaits us, children of light, in the land where it all began. The darkness in which we once cowered in fear, now curbed by the might of our endless light. Come, brothers, come, sisters. Let there be peace among the wicked, just as the Law dictates. Peace and certainty is all that you have ever longed for, little angel. A bright, stable future. A roof without holes above thy head. Acknowledgement and recognition of thy existence, feverish dreams of grandeur. Greed born from yearning, treacherous vines of rapacity taint your innocent soul. You seek a future that does not exist. Let thy fingers hold the fragile line between dream and nightmare. Let thy light navigate the path. Shall thee give in and falter, O' land of old, envelop his body in thy unending flame of chaos. Spit out nothing but an empty husk, the remnants of a smile once so bright. Shall thee prevail, O', Great Kazdel, I ask of you, the impossible - take mercy on the innocent. Don't let the radiance dim and don't let the mind turn bleak. Wake, young traveler. Bid thy farewells and burn thy bridges. It's time to say goodbye, curly head. Cross post from AO3. For a shorter and more on-point description, look no further! I had something silly written up before throwing it out in exchange for that wall of text upstairs. It's a little story "about a young, dumb sankta who's been dealt a bad hand at life, looking for his place in all this mess. The pointless search for a better future leads him far, far away from home, to a country forever ravaged by war and misery - Kazdel, the promised land where devils roam free and peace feels out of place." Anyway, it's quite lengthy, but hopefully enjoyable? Slide a comment if you want, I'll give you a tiny kiss on the forehead. Man, do I love comments. (Lastly, to point out, English is not my native language, but I don't think it'll be much of an issue ;3)

Or will they end up falling apart? And what happens when the Orc, Bogwater, finds himself falling for Rain? *Title has been updated to be more self-explanatory. However, nothing in the story has changed. -DISCLAIMERS: NEW READERS READ BEFORE CONTINUING- •Scenes of Violence, Action, and some Language. • I do not own Middle Earth or the characters specifically created by Tolkien, all I own is Rain, Bogwater, Havish, and the plot to this story. •This story has many twists and turns, please don't freak out on me if something you don't particularly like happens. •This has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit plot. This is an all original plot using my own characters that just happen to run into Gollum, Gandalf, and some others, including Elrond. This is DOES not tie into the novels/films in anyway. • I do not own any of the songs or pictures used to give depth to the story. • A story about self-acceptance and friendship.

The Greylands: Modern Edition by SusanSkylark
1 part Complete
A land of shadows, of mystery, of obfuscated Truth. Welcome to the Greylands, that strange world, within the bounds of Time, peopled by mortal men. We cannot see truly, only as through a glass, darkly. There are things that move and have their being completely beyond our ability to perceive them. There are things beyond our mortal ability to comprehend. There are hints and glimmers hidden within the body of revealed Truth, but there is much we do not know, cannot yet understand, and could never dare dream. These stories are mere fancy, with a seed of Truth at their core. They play with the ideas of mortality and Eternity, Time and things beyond it, and of course the epic battle of Good against Evil. Each stands alone, and though there are common themes, threads, names, and concepts, each story is an entity unto itself and should not be seen as occurring in the same world or mistaken for installments of a series. These are random musings, not Gospel Truth, and should not be taken as such. Joy, hope, and encouragement are hopefully a byproduct, but certainly not sound Theology. If you would know more of the true world beyond these Greylands, one must be a careful student of the Scriptures, not of silly stories such as these. While still fairytales, these stories are set in modern surroundings rather than the land of Faerie! Each story is unique unto itself, and doesn't reference any other story, world or character elsewhere.
"Elves of the Northern Vale" A Tundrawolf Story by TRWright1
19 parts Complete
As happened many times in the past the Fell Ice once again charged down from the north and attacked the world in its effort to turn it into a frozen ball of ice. Only the White Magic and it's ally the Sun could stand against such a vast enemy. From their home in the Valley of the Sun the great tribe of Elves could only watch as the monumental fight unfolded. As the battle intensified and the valley became threatened the tribe separated back into their four original tribes and each made their way back to their ancestral homes. Within their Vales, behind thick stone walls and under powerful domes of magic, they were protected from the onslaught upon the earth. The Elves watched for thousands upon thousands of turns as the war raged overhead. The Fell Ice against the Sun and the White Magic were locked in a struggle lasting for an age, with neither side claiming victory as the earth was ravaged. In time the Fell Ice retreated, as it had so many times in the past. Beaten, yet not defeated, only biding it's time for the next attack. It returned to its frozen Kingdom at the Top of the World, thus ending this last Age of Ice. This time, as the earth warmed around them, the Elves remained secluded from the world in their hidden Vales. They observed from afar life returning to the lands and took stock of man becoming the dominant ones as their numbers grew and spread. As the Elves watched they felt safe and secure in their Vale strongholds. They had no idea of the danger that was about to befall them. This is a stand-alone sequel to my story "Druids Bane".
THE EPIC CONQUEST (Eng Ver.) by RusdiAlim
17 parts Complete
EPIC CONQUEST THE NOVEL tells about an event that happened hundreds of years ago there was a crack in the sky. The rift seemed to be a dimensional gate that combined this world with the demonic world. Because of that, thousands of demons have entered the human realm and mercilessly killed anything in their sight. When the Dasyhat war happened, the world made a truce and joined hands to defeat the devil's army. For the first time in history, mankind united under the banner of the Alliance. Even though decades have passed, the war between humans and demons still shows no signs of ending. Although the dimensional gates are no more, their existence seems endless due to rapid reproduction. Because of that too, the hybridization of humans and demons is inevitable. These hybrids look like normal humans but, with demonic blood flowing through their bodies cause them to have extraordinary magical powers. Their behavior is the same as normal humans. However, if their hearts are enveloped in darkness, they will turn into complete demons. Since then, magical powers were born and the royal side of the Alliance saw this group as a threat to humanity and called them witches. In order to overcome the extinction of humanity, the leadership of the Alliance created the order of the Witch Hunt to find and kill every witch no matter what they look like. Due to the order, witches rebelled to protect themselves and their loved ones until a civil war broke out. Due to the war, many lives were lost and many witches were enveloped in darkness and turned into demons. Since that day, the human race has suffered greatly. The Alliance and wizards alike consider them a threat. The hatred and revenge between them still remains to this day. With so many chains of hatred, can all humans be reunited? Can the world once again be free from chaos?
The Glimmerstone Enigma [Epic Fantasy][D&D Inspired] by Ravensaloft
22 parts Ongoing Mature
The outcome of many epic wars often hinges on the efforts of unexpected heroes whose details are lost to time and never appear in historical accounts. This is one of those tales. When ruthless demons attack without warning, slaughtering the brothers and sisters of the Luminarium, early clues suggest the use of magic well beyond the capabilities of contemporary masters. The two surviving monks join forces with some old friends and new allies to determine the perpetrator and their end game. What they discover is a potentially apocalyptic future. What to Expect: Multiple Main Characters: A group of imperfect non-human adventurers with various skills and backgrounds join forces for a common desirable outcome. Collaborative Problem Solving: The struggle to become greater than the sum of their original parts and find a way to succeed as significant underdogs. Exploration and Discovery: A world with history, magic, and cryptids waiting to be discovered understood, harnessed, and overcome. Natural Progression (without the stats): MCs develop personally and professionally within the story's context, honing themselves and their craft as they go. Dungeons and Dragons flavor: A homebrew world that broadly follows the ideas and constructs of the game. More adventure than politics: Worldbuilding is minor and situationally relevant. There will be no info dumps of national history or political rivalry - except where necessary to the plot. For me, the characters and the adventure are the story.
