It has been five years since the events of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Alduin has been killed, body and soul, Lord Harkon is a pile of dust and what remains of Miraak lies in Apocrypha. It appears that the world has been put to rights and that the people of Skyrim have nothing more to fear, at least no more than the usual.
But there is one more task ahead of the Dovahkiin, perhaps his greatest ever. A second Great War is on the horizon and on this shall be staked everything.
The towers must stand.

The Story of the Dragonborn
Skyrim is located in the northern province of Tamriel, where civil war rages between the Imperial Legion and the Stormcloaks. The story follows the journey of the dragonborn, a prophesied hero with the soul of a dragon and the power to absorb their strength. When the ancient dragon Alduin-the World-Eater-returns to destroy the world, it becomes the dragonborn destiny to master the Thu'um (dragon shouts), navigate political conflicts, and ultimately decide the fate of Skyrim as they face the final war against the thalmor.

Book of the Dragonborn - Story of a Legendary Khajiit
Throughout Tamriel, many heroes have come and gone, many of them boasting great legends to go along with their heroic deeds. The legendary Ysgramor conquered all of Skyrim, the Hero of Kvatch ended the Oblivion Crisis, the Vestige bested a Daedric Prince in combat, Cyrus the Restless brought peace to Stros M'Kai, Tiber Septim conquered all of the known world. None of them, however, can quite match the legends and myths that surround the Last Dragonborn, the slayer of the World-Eater. Though Alduin has been gone for many centuries, the Dragonborn's stories continue to fascinate and inspire scholars and hopeful heroes alike. ------- So, I've used the Dragonborn in question for a few stories, but never anything set purely in the Elder Scrolls universe itself, and as such, I'm gonna try something a little different from my usual stuff. This will read much like any biographical text, or at least, that's my goal, detailing the life of the Dragonborn, being written by an unknown author. Book cover comes directly from the in-game book of the in-game title. The books makes frequent mentions of lore-friendly mods on the Xbox One version of Skyrim. I know I've written something like this before, but I had some new ideas for it and I wasn't entirely sure how I wanted to squeeze them in without screwing up his timeline, so I felt a rewrite was in order. Or will she spare him, at the cost of the damage he has done or will do? . . . . This is a Miraak x Reader in which the Reader is a female. This fanfiction is obviously made for entertainment and won't follow every single detail to the T. As a matter of fact, I am only including three of the seven Black Books, as they are all very similar until you get to the end of the quest in the actual game.
