'The road to hell is paved with good intentions' Grinma, a world in a state of feudalism between its inhabitants, is now seeing the waning phase of war. A glimmer of hope was seen by those who want the Dark Ages to end. Xylvine von Astre is a battlemage for the 30th Enfer Regiment, an ordinary infantry section that has been deployed to the frontlines as part of the advancement campaign against the Elvali. He finds himself in situations that was more than he signed up for, and little more does it mean his own demise.

In our world, there are two forces. One of darkness, and one of light. The forces of darkness dwell underground, in large caverns and ravines. The inhabitants of these spaces are demons, who are born of fear and anger, and thirst for it. These nightmarish creatures have one goal: slaughter the human race, and take over the world. Enter the forces of light. To them, genocide isn't that cool. They're like, "How about you NOT do that, 'k?" These shining paladins of hope (most of them, anyway) are trained to defend the world from these monsters. The guardians of the light are trained to protect at the 'Гэрэл Чапел' (The Chapel of Light). Jace, who came to the school expecting such, has spent years (one and a half) preparing himself to fight. However, he soon learns that the fight runs much deeper, and the stakes are much higher than he thought.
