Jason loved the sound of birds chirping in the morning, and the wind as it howled past him to a distant land. He loved the taste of ice cream and the sweet feeling of chocolate melting in his mouth. He liked the smell of flowers in the spring, and the beautiful scent of freshly baked cookies. He enjoyed feeling the grass under his feet and water running through his fingers, caressing him. But Jason couldn't see the beauty of every sunrise as the sky turned from a clear blue to a golden orange, or a rosy pink. He wasn't able to look at the bird that sang in front of his window, or see the colour of his chocolate ice cream. He didn't know how the flowers he loved to smell looked, or how the grass dances with the wind. Because Jason was blind. And very, very gay for Connor.
