The first thing he remembers is a sharp ringing in his ears. Then the weight on his chest, or, in his chest. Slowly, the two disappear. Before the ringing has finished, though, he realized what woke him up.
Crying.
Skin crawling, senses sharpening, Peter Parker shakily stood up.
