[Deaf!KeithXLance]

Keith was in the hospital day in, day out. Not once did he really get the chance to live a real life. He stayed in the bed they provided. He made that room "his own". He stayed alone, except for the times when the nurses came to help him out. When Keith was bored, he got sad. He got lonely. He got curious. He'd wander. He'd stray. He'd discover more about the place he couldn't leave. Not yet at least.

~

Lance woke up one day in the hospital. There was a boy there. The boy wasn't facing Lance though. He faced the wide open door. Opposite of the direction Lance was in. No one was there though. The light would shine in and illuminate the room.

The boy would say things. He would repeat them. Almost as if he was practicing.

Why? Lance just didn't understand.

Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd) Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
