I never wanted to be different, but fate tends to jump at you from a dark corner and kick you in the gut when you least expect it. Such as the four insane kids that showed up at my school and called me the 'Fire Bringer.' Whatever that meant.

Kace Addison was never anything special. A 16 year old sophomore in high school that worked at the nearby Walmart was never anything special. Being called 'The Riser of Flame' or 'Fire Bringer'? That is not normal. Being able to actually do what that name suggests? Even more so.
Four new kids. Two boys, two girls. Kace barely knows their names; Fallon, the dark haired smart-dude, Garrett, the slightly clueless kid with glasses, Juniper, the quiet, blond girl, and Holiday, the apparently short-tempered girl that got detention before the bell rang.
Apparently the world is ending. And apparently Kace can summon fire. Who knew? The skies are darkening, and thunderstorms are literally everywhere. A dark magician is bent on finding the Scythe of Hours, which would lead him to control all elements, including the most vital one; Time.
