Valerie Santana-Voyer cared too much what other people thought of her. She was never really one to fish for complements or put the attention on herself, but she was fairly popular because of who her parents were, which made it hard to just let loose. Her thoughts consumed her and made trivial task such as picking out an outfit in the morning, anxiety-driven and difficult. Insecurity took over Valerie's life until she saw Joey, for the first time in a long time. Will Joey bring great joy and adventure to Valerie's existence, or sadness and anger?

Now challenged with the reality of adulthood, adversaries, her self-image, and the feeling that Elena is slowly drifting away, Valerie struggles to find control amidst the turmoil. As her mental health slowly deteriorates, she can only find comfort in her old habits. Still, nothing can silence the voice in her head telling her to be completely, utterly perfect. - EXTREMELY LOOSELY based off of personal events and real people. -Let's get this straight. From a dead end job to a useless crazy ex boyfriend- my happiness is with my best friend yet the fear of our relationship ending completely scares me and id rather fake it and be in fear than find out and never be happy.
