Criminal Defense Attorney Bethany Rhoads is a bombshell in the courtrooms of Manhattan, winning case after case. Upon returning to her office after a trial one day, a mysterious business card on her desk draws her into action and intrigue. This work is the first semi-crossover I'm attempting with another Wattpad writer, @coffeeandliterature. It also dabbles with a character from one of my other stories, "Castle of Teddy Bears." Notations will appear where a crossover occurs. This work is based heavily on the current HBO series "Westworld," but also borrows elements from the original movie (1973) written by the late Michael Crichton. It takes place shortly prior to the television series. All rights are due their respective owners.

The whole city's legal community knows Santa as "The Next Generation's Voice." At twenty-nine, he's famous for his cool, collected courtroom demeanor and a string of high-profile wins. He's the golden boy, a portrait of unwavering poise. But this perfect image is about to be shattered by a case that forces him to confront the ghost of his past. The new case seems simple enough at first glance-a property dispute. Yet, as Santa delves into the details, a familiar chill runs down his spine. The file contains names and places that trigger memories he's spent a decade trying to bury, a past filled with a love he thought he lost forever. The trauma he's suppressed resurfaces, threatening to dismantle the polished professional he's become. The real blow comes when he sees the opposing counsel. Perth. The man he hasn't seen since that fateful night. The one person who knew him completely, before the walls went up. Suddenly, the courtroom isn't just a place for legal battles; it's a stage for a painful reunion. Santa isn't just fighting for his client anymore; he's fighting to keep his past from consuming his present, all while facing the one person who holds the key to the heart he thought had turned to stone.
