Long ago when the earth was just a barren wasteland, mysterious gems fell from the sky. These gems breathed various forms of life into earth's core with their magical properties. Or so they say. For as long as Clyde could remember he'd always wanted to be part of the Seraphs, a military force broken up into three branches: Mercenaries, Assassins, and Guardians. Whichever branch he goes to depends on his skills. As he turns 18 at his last year in High school things get complicated. In addition to living in Idalia - one of the more grunge cities on the eastern continent - he has to deal with the clashing of his two cliques, being poor, and staying out of trouble so he can protect the gems as a Seraph. There's only one problem with that. Choices he's made with toxic friends in the ninth grade may land him in jail before he graduates, and to be a Seraph you need a clean record and a high school diploma. If it weren't enough the news starts to slander the Seraphs, exposing that they may not be all that they're cut out to be. A terrorist group named the Harbingers are spreading rumors about the gems, and the governments looks worried. In the corrupted aristocracy they cover everything up and use assassins to get rid of loose ends. Now Clyde is in a moral crisis and completely clueless. Until, he's visited by an extraterrestrial girl that may be the answer to everything. The doomsday clock is ticking, friendships, morals, and strength will be challenged in this mysterious world, and Clyde may have to pick between love or saving the world.
