By 1994, the britpop genre has become ingrained into British culture. However, Myra Burnsley, an eighteen-year-old college student, despises modern music. One night, during a struggle with a would-be robber, she is aided with the help of a good Samaritan. The Samaritan turns out to be Damon Albarn, the lead singer of the widely popular band Blur. Myra and Damon develop a relationship that sends Myra's once private life into the public eye. Will their relationship handle the strain of stardom, or will it just fade away?
