What if the happy ending you see is a facade?

Frisk learned the truth many timelines ago. That the world they supposedly experienced and remembered did not exist. That there was no such thing as the monsters being free on the Surface, for it had only brought them back to their last save point. 

Out of desperation, they reset the world numerous times. By the time guilt stopped them, the resets forced the world into a terrible situation, where a deep corruption lurks, sending the Underground into chaos. 

With a great darkness shrouding the Undergound and the remaining specks of hope flickering out, it may be only a matter of time before the world fades into the abyss forever.

So, monsters and humans have been living together on the surface for quite a few years now... That's an accomplishment! No resets, no new timeline. Just a future continuing forward like everyone could have possibly hoped for. However, not everything is hopeful. You can't expect to live a life where everything is sunshine and rainbows. what if Asgore and Toriel part on good terms after his delcaration of war? what if Flowey did not turn evil by the time Frisk came into the underground ? what if Papyrus was more willing to fight and more able to dodge (..without still knowing what capturing a human would do)? what if Sans still did not find about "the anomoly" due to Flowey's lesser amounts of resets? and more small things a "what if" type of story for all to see
