The destruction of the second Death Star is still fresh in the minds of the galaxy, many thought the war was over on that fateful day. But a new war has just begun. A new threat lurks in the shadows of the greasy and lawless Outer Rim, slowly tearing apart the New Republic's influence in the area. This new threat, a Imperial splinter group, is known as the Emperor's Will. This powerful Imperial faction is lead by the cruel and merciless Grand Moff Terroz Locke. The intelligent moff had always been a huge threat to the rebellion, and now he is a even bigger threat to the newly born New Republic. After Locke united a sizable part of the old Empire under his command, the New Republic has sent a commando squad lead by General Brion Kular to eliminate the moff and stop his reign. Butill General Kular be able to stop Grand Moff Locke, or will the Grand Moff be able to end the New Republic and do what Palpatine couldn't?
[Important Note: This book will take place in an alternate version Star Wars universe. I'll be using elements from legends and canon, but there will also be major differences from both timelines throughout the story]

Ace in the Hole
It is the 33rd century, war still rages endlessly, and amongst the stars humanity remains fractured. The Galactic Empire, forged on the carcass of the old Republic, persists with its conquest for complete and unparalleled domination over the vast reaches of the cosmos, and to purge that which they see unfit as they spread their perversion of what the Republic once stood for. While independent rebel forces with their minuscule manpower each push back against The Emperor's cruel regime with all their might, they suffer tremendous casualties and are executed with exceptional cruelty. This new spark of a Galactic Civil War has already lit a fire too big to quell now, and will only get stronger. The Empire already has torn apart countless star systems, the inhabitants either joining the untold billions of the Empire, or being crushed under their heel. To be a man in such times is to live in fear, fear of the unchanging cruelty from the Emperor's iron fist, fear of stepping out of line. There is little hope in the midst of the scent of death and the cruel laughter of Imperial Officers, yet many hold on. Meanwhile in a distant and quiet forest of Kashyyyk, unscorched by blaster fire, a surviving Jedi and her family resides. Soon however, that will change, as the Empire has located the family. A young child known as Rosetta Carmine, child of the hunted Jedi, resides in a shack in a Wookie village unaware of how drastically this day will change the trajectory of her life, and the galaxy as a whole. Act 1 is very heavily influenced by The Force Unleashed 1 Act 2 is still in development (Descriptions will be updated as more is written, there will also be a lot of revisions bc I'm always changing shit so my apologies for that. Force Destiny
Immediately following the events of The Last Jedi, the battle for the galaxy continues between the First Order and the last of the Resistance. As the new Supreme Leader takes the throne, the First Order is focused on finding and destroying all who oppose them. The Resistance had disappeared into hiding and desperation has forced them to explore the gray areas of war. Meanwhile, on opposite sides of the war, Rey and Kylo Ren are forced to face the realities of their bond, their complicated relationship, their loyalty to their causes, and their understanding of the Force. Could their star-crossed connection be tied to the fate of the galaxy? This is a slow burn! Enemies to friends to lovers. This story continues the arcs and themes beautifully woven through The Last Jedi, as well as the narrative from the previous two trilogies. All plot elements are intended to be canon-compliant through TLJ. This is 100% complete. It was completed in December 2019 on A03 before The Rise of Skywalker was released, so this is not a "fix-it" fic as much as an alternative to Episode IX. This is a dark story.
