Armelle and Embryn are best friends that want to be the next girls in line to become Soronas, in an attempt to support their families.
A Sorona is a girl that fights in the name of the thirteen goddesses in order to protect the world. They are able to pass the test for worthiness, the Power, Unity and Receptive Emotion test and begin training.
When the girls become Soronas, they gain the ability to speak to their specific goddess, and can ask the goddess to lend them more power to fight. Each time they do so, they lose the ability to feel an emotion or use a body part. Adding to the dilemma, they begin to suspect a hidden foe lurking somewhere, with full control of the strings controlling them. Who could it be?
