This is a fairy tail story but I have made some changes.
Lucy Heartfilia was devastated when Lisanna and Natsu declared their feelings to each other. She had always liked him from afar, but never said so. Even then, she tried her best to be happy for both of them, until she overheard Natsu, Lisanna and Erza talking about her weakness, and the overall incompetence of celestial wizards.
As it is, most people ignored her, except Mira, Gajeel, Wendy and Carla, Gray, Lisanna and Happy. And Master, of course.
She decides to train, and become stronger, and encounters Yukino of Sabertooth, badly injured. She is unable to save her, but Yukino relinquishes her keys.
She now has the zodiac gates, and the forbidden thirteenth one. But will she become strong?

*No there is nothing about Lucy being a dragon princess, it was too unrealistic, although I personally love that plot.*

Lucy held the picture in her hands, listening to the deafening roar of her opponent. Juvia and Gray lay on the ground behind her, Gray's body thrown over the other girls as if to protect her though both were unconscious. Wendy held an unconscious Charle in her arms, one eye clenched tightly shut as Happy placed one paw on her calf, tears in his eyes. Racing back to Magnolia, it's soon that the wizards learn that all Slayers throughout Fiore have fallen ill and worsen by the day. All thanks to Master Pierre of the dark guild, Black Enigma and his plans to take over the world with the power of all of the dragon slayers. She meets Natsu Dragneel, a strong and arrogant fire dragon slayer. He challenges her to a fight, thinking she would go down easily. The fight ended in a draw and the two have been rivals since. One day, Fairy Tails master assigns Erza, Gray, Wendy, Natsu, and Lucy to do a dangerous and life risking job. Will Lucy and Natsu be able to get past their differences or will they forever hate each other? And can Fairy Tail's strongest team defeat Zeref, Natsu's evil older brother?
