The remains of Earth have been broken up into five Sections- Pacem, Bonum, Victoria, Superstes, and Gloria. They all fight for different characteristics, and each one has a will to win. Bellona, named after the Goddess of War, lives a cruel life under her father, Bane Omner, the ruler of Gloria. All nerves in her brain which contain the ability to have emotions have been swiped by her father, and she always does as he says. At least, until she meets Hayden, whom teaches her maybe- just maybe- she's hasn't lost her mind, and can still feel after all. The first book in the Pain, Love, And Insanity series, this follows Bellona and her decisions which could alter the society, the Sections, and herself.

I have restarted this book. I wanted to make it easier to read and more enjoyable. I hope to make shorter chapters and update frequently. :) In the beginning Sylar has no name. No one cares. She's just another kid to fall into a system because she was an unwanted mess. A child that doesn't talk? Yea, no one care about that either. A shady group home filled with bullies and secrets? Yea, you guessed NO ONE CARES! To find friends in a place like this is unlikely. This place is built to feed off the fears of kids and their lack of parental role models. No one holds on to dreams for long in a place like this. You get placed here and you are as good as forgotten. Except when a couple shows up looking as out of place as an astronaut in a gold mine or a miner in space whichever one you prefer. This couple comes and shakes things up. Good or Bad has yet to be decided...only someone's bound to get hurt, someone's bound to be broken. The only question is will the wounds heal or fester and kill?Concluída
