The remains of Earth have been broken up into five Sections- Pacem, Bonum, Victoria, Superstes, and Gloria. They all fight for different characteristics, and each one has a will to win. Bellona, named after the Goddess of War, lives a cruel life under her father, Bane Omner, the ruler of Gloria. All nerves in her brain which contain the ability to have emotions have been swiped by her father, and she always does as he says. At least, until she meets Hayden, whom teaches her maybe- just maybe- she's hasn't lost her mind, and can still feel after all. The first book in the Pain, Love, And Insanity series, this follows Bellona and her decisions which could alter the society, the Sections, and herself.

A reason why her body sings along with every strike of a blade against anything that moves. She is the daughter of Bhaal himself, the lord of murder. He sired not only her sweet name but the incessant desire for murder. She was trained in the arts of delightful music aswell as blades. Why? Because Bhaal's chosen must be so despicable that they can use honeyed words to convince their prey to commit their own murder, command a room of people to drop with the most angelic of Melodies. Her power resides in words because it was his desire, but her skills were moulded into something far more deadly. How she became lost with this urge is the main question pounding against her skull, but whoever did this didn't think of one thing. Sirena may have forgotten...but she will never forgive. Will she decide to resist this urge and get her revenge? Especially when it comes to those she will grow to love? Well...let's hope the dice roll in her favour. Galaxy battles guilt and fear worried that one day, she'll lose herself completely to the darkness. Every time she uses her powers, she fears she's slipping further away from the person she once was. She wants to connect with others but struggles with her pride and anger, afraid of revealing the truth about her powers. But Harmony, Her cousin, who is fearful, strong calm, tries to bring her out from her dark side. She believes that Galaxy hasn't done anything wrong. Even though Galaxy tries to break her or tear Harmony's heart, Harmony will always be there. In her quiet moments, she wonders if she can still be the hero she once was, or if the darkness is now her only path. Galaxy's journey is one of constant conflict between light and darkness, love and power, and hope and fear.
