Walang ibang pinangarap si Mira kundi ang makasama ang kanyang mapagmahal na pamilya. Nandidiring si Mira: "Sinong mahal ka diyan? Mas mahal pang bigas kaysa sayo." Sabay ikot ng mata.

Nag-aalalang alalay: "Kamahalan, maraming ng nagsasabi na nababaliw na ang asawa niyo."

"Magpipiging tayo." Masiglang sagot ng kamahalan.

Naiiyak ng alalay: "Pero bakit po kamahalan?" Di mo ba naiintindihan ang sinabi ko?

"Dahil baliw na baliw sa akin ang asawa ko." Sagot ng kamahalan na nakataas ang noo.

Tumatango-tangong alalay: "Mukhang nagkamali ako. Ang kamahalan yata ang nababaliw."
