Austin Kensington. He does not have a perfect family. He doesn’t get straight A’s or even straight B’s . He doesn’t play football, he is not a jock. He is simply Austin Kensington, aspiring singer. He is not very popular, but has friends. He HATES preppy snobby kids. He loathes his mother so much because she IS the thing he despises, preppy and a snob. His father is not so bad. He tries to understand Austin, but just can’t. He isn’t a prep or a snob like his mother, but he is very much a... free spirit. The Kensington family is moving from California (though they originally lived in Britain) to New Hampshire where Austin will soon be attending Mayflower High.
Austin, like everyone else in the world, has made mistakes. Can he go on living this lie, letting everyone believe that he is simply just a average boy, or will he show his true colors?
Aliyah Lovik. She’s a seemingly carefree and a wild spirited 23 year old but behind that façade is a broken, innocent girl. As a child, she was unappreciated by her parents. In their eyes, compared to her 2 older siblings and 1 younger one, she was worthless. In school, she became desolated. Even her gorgeous looks didn’t help her gain any attention from her peers. Life at that point was dreadful for her and being able to graduate high school would've been near impossible were it not for the one person who she could turn to: her chemistry teacher, who was basically a second mother to her.
The next big challenge comes when she graduates college with her teaching degree and starts as the new chemistry teacher at Mayflower High School in Manchester, New Hampshire.
When the two meet unexpectedly, what will happen? Will Aliyah shine a light on Austin’s dark past, and will Austin show Aliyah how not to hide her emotions?
