A story about 16 year old Avana, growing up in Australia, knowing one huge ass secret. 
She spends her times trying to fit into the social norms, but knowing a secret about the world can jeopardise it all. 
That secret being that everyone has an animal or insect side. You can transform into that animals when you want and stay in that form for as long as you want, but that also means every animal or insect has a human side. People can't find out about what the worlds really like because they can't cope knowing that if they eat meat they are technically a cannibal. Hiding the complicated animal side of the world a secret and dealing with everyday life adds pressure to Avana and she starts to question who she even is.

As the narrator, I'm tempted to simply write "Middle Finger" because that is essentially what you'll feel like I'm giving you in telling this story. However, for the sake of not being a complete dick, I'll write a little more than just a description of a disrespectful gesture. This story can aptly be described as crude and deranged. As you may have surmised, a crazy person will be telling this story, and the characters involved are indeed also all crazy in their own special ways. 17. That's how old I am today. It's about time too. I was getting sick of being 16. I hear a low rumble being emitted from my chest. I run towards the woods before the change takes over my body. As soon as I get to the woods near the lake I have come to know and love, ducks are floating in the middle looking for something to eat.
