I'm not responsible so cut your bullshit,' My mother looked at me with utmost horror and next thing I knew the sound of colliding flesh erupted from my cheek. My eyes instantly blurred into more tears as my cheek tingled with extreme pain.

A story about 16 year old Avana, growing up in Australia, knowing one huge ass secret.
She spends her times trying to fit into the social norms, but knowing a secret about the world can jeopardise it all.
That secret being that everyone has an animal or insect side. You can transform into that animals when you want and stay in that form for as long as you want, but that also means every animal or insect has a human side. People can't find out about what the worlds really like because they can't cope knowing that if they eat meat they are technically a cannibal. Hiding the complicated animal side of the world a secret and dealing with everyday life adds pressure to Avana and she starts to question who she even is.

What will she risk to save her friends and family?
