Emalia has never been sure about love. From the day her parents divorced when she was four years old she's doubted its existence. Now, 23, successful, and very attractive, Lia spends her time bouncing from relationship to relationship, never fully committed, but always with her mind open. Kayo, Lia's closest friend, finally decides that Lia needs someone steady in her life and sets her up with Dillion, a boy they went to high school with. Lia doesn't remember Dillion from school, but there's something strangely familiar about him. Kayo appears to know Dillion better than anyone, but anything she does know, she's not telling.
